A new alternative to CAPTCHA

Just discovered an interesting approach for substituting CAPTCHA human validation with something more user friendly. The idea was developed by Kettle and was clearly inspired by the iPhone confirmation widget. One downside is that the solution is solely based on Javascript, so there is no way the user can submit the form if JS is disabled. I guess sometimes it is worth to pay such a price when the user base is unlikely to feel the impact… as is the case with theymakeapps.com, a service dedicated primarily to a highly tech-savvy target audience. Cute!
